Privacy Policy in accordance with Section 10 of Personal Data Act (523/99)
Suomikortit processes personal data in compliance with the Personal Data Act and takes precautions to safeguard the customers' privacy and the confidentiality of their personal details. Personal data is processed in order to provide the service and the operations of the site.
The source of the information is the registered user. Suomikortit and its partners may use the customer register also for marketing aimed at their customers.

3. Name of the register
The name of the customer register of the Suomikortit card service is "Suomikortit.fi" customer register.
4. The purpose of processing personal data
The purposes of processing are:
- maintaining customer relations
- implementing the rights and obligations of the customer and the Suomikortit service
- processing personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Act for purposes relating to the online service
- maintaining the customer register
- targeting advertising and/or direct marketing of Suomikortit and/or its partners or advertisers based on customer details via the channels and services of Hämeen Sanomat without disclosing personal data to a third party
- sending direct marketing to previous and current customers
- research operations, such as customer satisfaction and brand studies
5. Description of the groups of data recorded
The register may contain the following data about customers:
- Contact details (name, address, email and/or mobile phone number)
- Identification details (password/username)
- Demographic data (age, occupation, etc.)
- Information about interests (various product groups)
- Beginning and end date of customer relationship
- Identifying details for the computer the signup was completed from
6. The register's regular sources of data
The source of data for the register are details provided by the customer when signing up and during the time the customer uses the service. Personal data may be updated using information from the population register.
7. Regulatory data disclosure and transferring data out of the European Union or the European Economic Area
The controller of the register will not disclose the customers' personal data. Should a situation arise where disclosing information to a third party becomes necessary, the customers will be asked for their consent in advance.
8. Deletion of data
Data may be deleted when a customer requests it, or when a customer relationship ends. Additionally, information may need to be deleted, if monitoring shows that a customer is misusing the service or using it for criminal activities, etc.
9. Principles for securing the register
Personal data will be kept confidential. Data contained in the Suomikortit online service is only accessible to those employees of Suomikortit/Hämeen Sanomat who are in possession of the necessary access rights and usernames in order to carry out work-related tasks.
10. Right to opt out
The customer has the right to forbid the use and processing of their personal data for the purposes of advertising, telesales or other direct marketing.
11. Right to inspect
Every registered user has the right to view the information recorded about them in the customer register of this service. The request to view the information must be made in writing and the registered person must be able to prove his/her identity.
The request to view personal information must contain at least the following:
- Name of customer/registered user
- Delivery address
- Post code and post office
- Email address
- Social security number
- Telephone number
Information requested for viewing, i.e. what the registered user wants to see
- All data
- Specified data and
- Date and location
- Registered user's signature and clarification of signature
